[quote=250 or point 65;576675]I have to agree with CaptKrunch, rolling over and accepting a terrible TA, Bridge Agreement, or Contract would be much better. Really, I don't care what I get paid or my quality of life, and why should I? I can survive on the self-satisfaction of helping Hulas and his family get richer and richer. That'd be the kind of man for others that I'd like to be.

Kinda like you put words in mine?

Default One list

Well....Being that the only thing TSA ALPA is interested in is job security, then that alone results in one list. That being said, then yes it is on the table!!

I hope you guys do end up with one list along with better pay and work rules. The way Hulas and his thugs have treated TSA is inexcusable. Even if you guys do get one list, a staple would just breed more animosity. Then you would be heading down the same path as Airways.

Being an airline pilot, you sort of get dropped into the "think" that there is some way to win as a labor group over management. Aviation is one of those fields that will always have more applicants than positions. That alone robs the existing group of any leverage - you're all replaceable (so long as the replacement costs can be spread out over time). In management's attempt to manage, they are doing what any business owner is trying to do - cut costs and ring every cent out of the operation. Its Hulas' company. It wouldn't exist at all if it weren't for Hulas. If Hulas had never graced this world with his presence (*barf*), TSA would never have been. My point here is that he can do whatever he wants - enforced further by the fact that it is his privately held company and not subject to securities laws and shareholder demands, etc.

That said, all these (dare I say futile) attempts to win the battle over management are going to require some serious leverage to inflict enough pain.

If GoJet is stapled to the bottom of TSA's list, it is good for TSA guys, but horrible for GoJet guys. Many would argue, "Who cares?". I don't, but I am a former TSA guy. But in trying to be omnipotent, it does screw them over and they will fight exactly opposite you. Furthermore, if a contract is negotiated with better work rules and pay, it is a slap in the face of management. Your best interests are opposed to theirs and they will fight that. So, regardless of who wants what or who has the most rat stickers on their bag, its all one big p***ing contest. Whoever's got the most horsepower and the biggest stick in the end will win.

And the nature of the game is that management has the upper hand because its their show to run. The only leverage available is the s-word, but that is so dampened by the laws of the land, that it is only available in the direst of circumstances.

Can't staple anymore unless both sides agree (or a court orders it?) but it is nice to dream. Every GJ pilot should be junior to even the most junior TSA pilots and in my opinion that is getting off light for GJ folk.

GoJet guys will never agree to the merger, Our union absolutely rulled it out. No stapling or merging to be done. these talks have been going on last summer also as I remember with no progress. Merging lists has been ruled out twice already in the history of GoJet. I don't think it's gonna happen, but keep dreaming.

Maybe you guys can have a big meeting with the plumbers and truck drivers and the rest of the members of your "union" and talk about it....

My two pennies......

If you integrate- date of hire. plain and simple
Don't accept anything but a fair contract. Thing is, I think both sides are getting somewhat restless with their unions, so do we keep going down the road with those two or just go independent?

That is absolutely not true both sides have been in talks for a long time, their union has no interest in taking over TSA, but up until now it was the TSA side that never wanted it. It's becoming apparent though that Hulas doesn't want to give a fair contract.

And frankly GJ pilots don't really have a say, the "union" minions work for Hulas. If he says the word, it will be done. Both sides need something. And yea the union thing is a joke. Which union is going to support you guys, the local trash hauler, car dealers, tire sales union? I'm sure they care a lot about you guys.....
