I'm sure before we see furloughs there will be another bunch of zero/part time lines. Although I think we're doing that in ORD and DFW now. And of course the long term leave of absences. I'm sure they will try to avoid a furlough but then again then have been this whole time and maybe it is not enough.

If attrition drops off (because there's nowhere to go) and they still need a RIF, then it would have to be by furlough. I guess it would be wise to check the mailboxes in the near future for WARN letters.
Still wondering if the 22 CRJ-700's will be ordered soon and maybe 30-40 ERJ-135/140's parked for a net loss of aircraft (and captain seats).
Stay tuned.

I've also been hearing rumors...from several captains...something about 21 CRJs...not 25 which we've all heard about...21...are coming our way...as well as a RDU mini base...although that rumors been around forever too...also...big anouncement on Friday?
This is what I have gathered while flying this past week...I didn't really know anything about an RDU base other than the long running pipe dream....

Sounds like an overstaffing issue... somebody else said they were blocking overtime in other bases too... that's why I asked if they were going to offer long term leaves again. They could just furlough. I read on another board that the attrition rate was only half the expected 30 per month....

No part time/zero time lines for DFW CRJ's. There were last month. Also the rumored 24 hard lines for DFW CRJ didn't pan out...still 35 hard lines. Doesn't matter anyway, I am the most junior guy anyway....good ole' airport standby for me.

any idea how far the company is going back on the furloughs?
I just spoke with one of the union guys in the employee bus in LAX and he said that there will be movement(upward not off the property) not really sure what he meant.
