You can think what you want, that is a fact. Do some research, go through some financial records on GIA. Prove me wrong

You want to know how sad there program is? We had a female Gulfstream CA (Jumpseater) tell us myself and and a 10yr CA) at FL180 that the local altimeter setting was blah blah blah......She thought she was helping us, she didn't know enough to know that its when passing BELOW FL180 you set the altimeter, it was pathetic........ I guess thats what happens when you do FLL-MYNN you whole career

I don't care if you like what I have to say, GIA is a scam and it BREEDS incompetent pilots, its not up for debate, its a FACT, and recent history has proved it.............

tired of this BS..............

Re-read it..............

Sorry, your word doesn't constitute fact. But if you'd like, you could bold the portion that you believe proves me wrong

ohhh...I see how that proves GIA accepts money from pilots...I should have known when you decided to bring up people who aren't here to defend themselves that any shot at an intelligent debate with you was over. I apologize for attempting to continue this debate.

Would the crew of the Pinnacle crash really be able to defend themselves against their ridiculous behavior?

Are you saying there is a difference between GIA and GTA, the pre-training department?

I'm sick of this argument. The worst aviation disaster in history(pre 9/11) involved all very experienced pilots, and guess what, none were from GIA.

First off, I admire that you had a passion for instructing. I wish I did when I was CFI'ing..
Second, I am not disagreeing with you, I think the GIA program is a joke, but that wasnt my point.

Everyone here is so eager to point the finger at everyone elses company. Whether its pay, work rules, contract, it doesnt matter. The reality is, a person has no business sitting in a 50+ seat jet making 25K a year! it is detrimental to the industry as a whole, not just to those flying for reagionals. It affects us all. Its completely detrimental and it lowers the bar not only for our co-workers, but for the next generation of pilots. The problem isnt just the goofballs that are paying to fly for GIA, it is all of us. Your just as guilty whether you pay GIA to fly, sit in the right seat of a 135 op for free to build time, or take a 121 job for literally half of what you should be making. You know, it wouldnt hurt If people had as much passion about the sad state of the industry as a whole instead of having a passion for pointing fingers at individual regional airlines. Truth be told, they ALL are garbage.
