I am totally HATING the media right now it seems that they take the angle of READY FIRE AIM,

Now they are spinning the crews experience, It makes me sick to see how the media is not reporting NEWS but opinion MEDIA types if you are READING this let me remind you that we Put 400 hour Pilots in High performance Aircraft in the Military. Please out of respect for the Crew and the Families involved let the investigators do their jobs.

Not to take away from experience but I would rather have a TProp Pilot fly me any day. Than a 20,000 hour guy who only takes off and land 10 times a month flying 12 hours at the regional level 12 hours means about 6 takeoff and landing, also 20,000hours of which 80percent is spent sitting reading your Stock quote dont make you any better than a pilot at the regionals

Blkflyer, I understand your anger, but you CAN NOT compare Military training to Flight safety..........

No spin...no opinions...just the facts.
But you see, Nick, 1) the American public is too dumb to know HOW to think, and therefore must be told WHAT to think; and 2) taking the time to REALLY research a story (like how can an Investment Fund run by a "rock star" manager ALWAYS make profits, even when no one else can) takes too long, and we're all about today, not next week, let alone next month.

This is the attitude of most "big time" journalists, as taught to them by their Journalism Professors. Much like MBA Programs, Ethics is no longer a REQUIRED class, in fact may be dropped as even an elective.

These folks know full well (as do we) that the final NTSB Report won't be out for at least a year, and well, that's too long. They want the truth (or something that'll sell better than the truth if it's too boring) RIGHT NOW. If we can't have it right now, we'll just make it up.

I'm starting to worry for the sake of the crew and for the sake of us all that this is gonna get ruled pilot error.

It very well may be. I'd prefer we stick to the facts, and let the chips fall where they may. There's nothing to be gained by sugar coating anything.

Was there any doubt? The last accident to NOT be ruled Pilot Error was the DH Comet in the 50's. And they THOUGHT about that one.

Well when you look at any crash, well most of them. They could all be blamed on the pilots.

"Well why didn't they do this?!?! They could have done this.... If they would have only known this...."

Hindsight is 20/20. Like I mentioned earlier - we are damned if we do, and damned if we don't. I'm only 24, and I do look rather young, and I've gotten several odd looks from passengers when they see me creep out of the cockpit this past week. I know exactly what they are thinking too. The media is really just desecrating our jobs, and the reputations of Marvin and Becky.

Careful what you say, if you think that fella in the left seat of the 777 did'nt "pay his dues" you might want to stop and ask them what it was like when they were at the "Commuters", the ERJ-145 has radar, A/P, De-ice, anti-ice Glass etc.............. These guys got to their (3 landings) a month by flying equipment farrrrrrrrrrr more archaic then even the Beech 1900. Read "Fate is the hunter", you will see what I mean
