Their 200's could easily just be modified 100's (all it takes is a few extra seats..most of Comair's old 100's are now "200's"..but they're still filed as a 100 for ATC purposes.

We don't have 100s and none of them are converted ones... Pinnacle and XJ operate the newest 200s out there. As for dl.com showing a 100... that website is so screwed up! It regularly shows 100s on a lot of flights. My favorite is where is shows a 320 operating NWA flights that are 330s. It's definitely a glitch in the system.

May seems to be the month when things will start to change for example I know Comair is doing a DTW LEX flight in a 900 starting in may and Pinnacle does DTW CVG in one of our ATL 900's

No its all going to stay the same but its going to be Comair, a partner to mesaba and compass under the division of mch holdings which operates regional flights on behalf of Delta Airlines who is a member of skyteam.

Seriously what have we got ourselves into? Pretty soon the name Delta will only be a holding corporation. Each regional will fly one aircraft type all the way up to the 747.

Just look anywhere in this country... everything is owned by someone else. Brands that you thought were competitors, with a little digging, you find are partners or subsidiaries.

Take Philip Morris Company (Altria Group), owns about 20 different brands of Cigarettes... all competing for your business. Philip Morris also owns Kraft Foods, along with other subsidiaries General Foods and Nabisco and their various "brands."

Ever have trouble deciding which of the following for a quick dinner? Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Long John Silvers, KFC, or A&W's? All owned by the same company, Yum! Foods. (Which I *believe* is owned by PepsiCo.)

Makes you wonder about that New World Order theory

The Unions at Comair and Mesaba should probable try and get together and force the flying to be 'single-carrier' by the NMB. Both pilot groups have some very old and some fairly new pilots and it could help with effiencies to cut out an entire layer of management(hopefully the worst ones) and allow more opportunites for the guys on the CRJ equipment.

I left out Compass because they fly very different equipment and also they have a unique structure with the flow up/down with DAL (also they are represented through the DAL MEC).

Mesaba and Comair both have old and new pilots, but one problem is that 80% of the Comair guys were hired prior to 3/07 and 60% of the Mesaba guys were hired after 3/07. Some furloughed Comair FOs have more seniority than some Mesaba Captains, so a fair merge might be elusive.

As far as cutting a layer of management, Comair's does that every year - the top layer. Well, actually more of a "replace" than a "cut".

Once you figure out who owns CNN, NBC, and Fox, you'll never believe the news again.

Can you say "conflict of interest"?

Doesn't Murdoch own Fox? Ahhh...it's so nice knowing the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, and hundreds of other newspapers nationwide are owned by a man who bought his US citizenship...literally...
