Default 3407 donations

For the record, I am just a Colgan pilot. I am not a representative of the pilot group or ALPA.

I emailed the IAH local and asked if there was a specific fund for the crew of 3407. I was directed to the ALPA emergency relief fund. I have contributed, but as I read it the emergency fund covers many more events than dieing in the line of duty. I would like to see a 3407 specific fund. To my knowledge, there is no fund established yet. If you would like to help set up or contribute, please talk it up in the crew rooms or PM me.

We cannot make these families whole, but we could help them in a time of need.

Thanks
John Hickman

I have NO intention of donating money to ALPA, however I have EVERY intention on donating money DIRECTLY to the family members.
I don't see any reason why people wanting to donate directly to the friends and family members of the crew should have to send it through ALPA as a middleman.
The ALPA emergency fund should already be well funded and the family members are going to need as much financial help as they can get.

Please let me know if you find out any information of a specific family fund being set up.

Send me a PM if your looking for any help or assistance, I'd be happy to help.

What about a sticker or a pin or something that we can wear in honor of our fallen friends? Is there a way to have that made and have donations in order to get one?

I have been thinking about putting a black string around my wings (of course such that I don't get a uniform violation ) but I'd like something to wear as a way to honor them.

Thanks. This is the information I've been hoping for. When someone gets the same info for Rebecca, Matilda, Donna, and Joe would you pass it along. I will get a posting up in the CAL IAH crew room. Also if anyone has any photos of them, please PM me.

Thanks.

Also, if anyone else wants the pictures that the company put together of the crew PM me and I will send them. It is a nice thought to keep them in memory by hanging it in your crewroom

I don't want to create a great list of "sticky's", but could we gets this thread sticky'd for a short while under the Colgan 3407 thread?
