I begged a ride home many times out of IAH on Colgan and found the crewmembers to be friendly and professional at all times.
I trust my life to Colgan pilots and have no reservations in doing so.
RIP to the crew.
The media and all of you speculators can go to ....well youknow where.

I actually got a PM from someone looking for information to "clear up the slander of the crews' names". I tried to politely tell him I will not release any information about the crew to anyone outside of Colgan Air ... only to find that he does not accept PMs. I went back to read it again, and he wanted me to email him with me phone number so he could call me ... right.

Really sad and still hard to believe. This is a tragedy for all the aviation industry around the world. RIP CJC 3407...to all the Colgan pilots, keep up the good work.
From a fellow Costa Rican pilot, to all of you flying back in the states, keep up the great work and fly safe.

I was in BUF all day today for an interview with the NTSB and am happy to report a few things that can be reported.
As soon as I got to the hotel our MEC chairman brought me to "command central" which was a very large conference room with a staff of Alpa employees doing their work. In this room were all the drinks and snacks and anything you could want or need at your disposal. It was fully equipped to handle any business needed. I met some of our fine crew members who are actively involved in the investigation side by side with the NTSB. They have been working nearly 16 hour days every day non stop since the morning after the accident and are putting their hearts into it. The overwhelming logistical support from our union was very evident and they are all there working very hard to ensure that every pilot is properly represented and that every aspect of the investigation has a Colgan hand in it.
a side note that the total dues to date paid for by Colgan is $0.00
I was very proud to be there and see the hard work our fellow pilots are doing in support of a very overwhelming operation. A special thanks to our MEC chairman for making sure that at no point did I not know what was going on or leaving me to sit in a lobby alone not knowing what to do or where to go. I can not say that the company would not have done the same but our union made sure that I was fully informed, had a comfortable place to hang out, fed and brought back to the airport when my time was done.

This just goes to show why this past union vote was so great.
To the 70% that voted for it I say thanks again! To the 30% who didn't vote for it, I hope you see part of what having a union can do for us as a pilot group.
