I admire you for your moral ethics. I am the same way, but only to a point. Remember: they will drop you like a bad habit and not think twice about it. When it comes to your career, you gotta do what you gotta do. Just remember to take care of #1 first.
I would take the 135 job and if something comes along that is better for you and your career then take it.

Its a light piston twin yes. 135 operated, with autopilot... so approved single pilot. However, they want me to sit right seat for a season so that they can train me, and I would fly all the empty legs from the left seat.
The upgrade time would be relatively quick. I would sit in the left seat probably for a few seasons (training a new guy\gal) until ready for upgrade... which would be quite a bit slower in length I'm sure. I'm thinking a few years before moving into something turbine.
The location is doable. Company with a pretty good rep. Hearing your suggestions, I am leaning more towards accepting the offer.
And you're very correct in one thing you say. We are expected to be so good to our word in this industry when the employers are willing to drop us like a bad habit. The thing that stinks is all these applications consist of past employer info and I know the potential looms for a bad review. ''Would you hire back this employee?'' and ''Well, if he screwed over them, he'll screw over us to better himself''.

Sitting right seat for a season in a light twin is something everybody should do. Learn how to fly first (135), then learn to use the autopilot (121)
*excluding GLA (they might as well be freight dawgs)
