Thanks IM thinking on applying there too.875tt and 52multi
Might be a little tough when you only have 2 hours over the min multi time. There are guys applying there with 121 PIC time. Good luck

Actually the entire sencond upgrade class has vacancies. The fact is that if you have ATP min you only need 300 hrs online in order to upgrade. The Farmington base, while very unpopular, gives new FO's a chance to build that time faster than sitting reserve in DEN and pick up an upgrade slot. While I expect the classes to fill in the future, we still have FO's who are eligible who are not submitting for what ever reasons and that gives junior FO's a chance to sneak in.

Good point. But, hopefully collective bargaining will overcome what supply and demand would take away. Unions can be effective when the pilot group is a unified force. With our recent vote on the new union, it was obvious we are almost all on the same page, as far as change is concerned. Unity is step 1.

That is good, I'd bet there are some guys who have more PIC time moving a gear handle in an airplane thats older than most people flying!!! I'm sure some of them are applying at lakes....scary thought.

I don't really know the answer to this, because I'm so far removed from what new guys are doing, but just curious: how long are FOs sitting reserve now, and how much are they using you on reserve? As in hours per month. Just wondering how long it would take someone to get 300 on the line, if they came in with ATP mins. Obviously, it doesn't apply to myself, because I'm already at Lakes, but I'm curious for other people's sake. If people need to get 300 on the line before they put-in for upgrade, but they are only using reserve FOs 30 hours/ month, it would take 10 months to get the 300 hours on the line. That would suck, especially for someone who is already well above ATP mins. But, if they are using guys 50-70/ month, that really wouldn't be too bad. A few months of reserve, study for upgrade while sitting on reserve, and put-in while still a reserve FO. That would be pretty nice for higher-time guys.

I'd go to Farmpit if I had to. I'd rather do that and fly. When do you get to choose Farmpit or reserve? Any idea when LAS will open up? Interview is set and just trying to get a heads up.
