Relax... You can call if you like but that won't change the 1000+ resume's they have on the desk.
To be honest you still have VERY low time. That's not to say they wont hire someone with lesser but it does show that they can definately hand pick who they want. Great Lakes is one regional who's hiring while many others are furloughing. If you're a CFI go that route. Things wont change for a while in the 121 world.

i completely understand... i know that i have low time and am competing with folks with 1000's of hours more than I... I just would like to get out of where I am; with them opening abq and fmn lakes just sparked my interest.... its not that big a deal though. I wont be crushed if i do not get a call.

Not getting called would be the best thing that ever happened to you, trust me.

actually right now.. it would be great. the company i work for now has us sleep on couches for overnights... no per diem either... we wash the aircraft on our days off.. we check the passengers in and load bags... we also do our own deciing... its a chore to buy fuel... oh and the pay sucks terribly. so lakes would be a breath of fresh air.

I had a buddy who worked for a cargo/charter op and flew aircraft of comparable size to the 1900. He experienced all of the above, plus he had to sit around the airport everyday, waiting for any charter or cargo flights which may have, but may not have popped up. Plus, he would routinely get 24 off in 7; and sometimes he would be at an outstation for his 24 off. He had a wife and kids. The wife part didn't last long....Nothing you'll see at Lakes comes close to touching the BS you mentioned above. Saying that, though, we do need a better contract.

Wow! it's crazy how experience can alter your perception. That makes my days at Lakes seem cush! I think you would fit it and enjoy it with your background. Good Luck
