Great Lakes Airlines Hiring???

I just talked to a friend who interviewed there yesterday, and he said they didnt give him a sim eval. What I or he cant answer is if they did give it to any of the other 8-10 people there, he said he could only speak for himself...for what its worth. I think 1900 LUX's post probably sums it up best, just be as prepared as you can be, and dont sweat the small stuff, 5 min on a PCATD will be nothing compared to the crap you'll be handed in any full sim training. He did say he was impressed with the people up there. Hope that answers your questions.

Just remember it's all about attitude. People have crashed the sim during interviews and still ended up getting the job. Be positive, smile, show confidence in your answers, and know your Jepp stuff. That's how you win the interview.

I second this recommendation. 15 days in and my stache is looking rather stunning...and by stunning, I mean I look like a child molester.

Still running classes of 6 monthly. When it will end, I'm not sure. Classes filled up quick last month, with a few alternates. Alternates jump in and complete upgrade if any of the main 6 people fail the pre-test, which usually happens to one or two people, or occasionally the whole class. A pre-test eliminates people who haven't studied enough, or people who aren't prepared for some of the pretest's oddball questions......or prepared for writing out memory items or numerous limitations verbatim, exactly as written in the manuals. It's the first thing you do on the first day of upgrade ground. If you don't get 80%, you fail and have to wait a certain period of time to take it again and shoot for upgrade again (usually 6 months if they are still running upgrades).
