I would fully expect FMN for at least a few months, if not more, if the seniority list slows down. Out and backs? The best you could do is high speeds, or if you are senior, I think a few of the TEX lines get you back to DEN for a DEN overnight every other night. There might be like one more line that gets you back for a DEN overnight every other night.
Yeah i figured abq would be out which is why I asked about out and backs. I could drive to FMN and spend 3-4 days and away and drive back to abq... that wouldnt be too bad for awhile. hell.. denver wouldnt even be bad either... the commute would be easy and I already have a place to stay if need be. i filled out the online app... would it be bad to fax in a resume too?? have a fax number? i looked and couldnt find one

do u ever fly in to abq?

thanks again

I guess you never had a job with less than stellar pay and work rules and went from student to awesome job.

I don't think that Mason is trying to deter you from going to the regionals at all, I'm sure that at one point he flew for some regional.

Except for the fact that Mason still works for a regional, he is just in denial of it. You can sugar coat it all you want, fact is Mason is the only Eagle pilot to claim he does not work for a regional.

MKE as a domicile hasn't taken effect yet. MKE was being run by STL-based crews, and they were getting TDY pay. It was a few mid-seniority people, and a few junior people. There were no STL lines for the STL crews, just MKE TDY. STL flying was being run out of DEN, on multi-day trips. Now, with MKE being a domicile, I know a few of the former STL-based crews are bidding on MKE as a new base. I would imagine it won't be junior. Definitely senior to FMN. Other than that, I'm not sure how senior it will be as a new domicile. I would imagine most new FOs will be rotated through FMN. There will be 4 crews MKE-based.

How often do they hire into the emb? I know they only have a few of them. Where are they located?

Also, with all the new EAS routes... do they have enough 1900's to cover those? Whats their plan to pick up more if they don't? I know their 1900's must be getting old... do they plan on switching to another aircraft in the future?

It all depends on when and how quickly FO are upgrading or leaving. There is currently a batch going through now with a few others going soon. I would imagine they will put 3-4 a month for the next couple months in the "Bomber".

There never seems to be enough aircraft but management says they are looking for more "quality" (subject to interpretation) airframes. It really comes down to getting favorable lease terms, and I wouldn't expect the 1900 to go anywhere soon.

So it looks like All ATP flightschools have gotten in bed with the Gulfstream folks.

From what a buddy's son told me who is at ATP, they are offering this as a "time building" scheme becuase they haven't been hiring many new instructors.

Checking ATP's website confirms this

I have done the ABQ TDY. It is super laid back, and the flying is way too easy. The hotel in Clovis is not good. Without the TDY pay, you better hope they build the lines more than 60 hours, unless you want to make guarantee every month. I don't know how the lines will be with ABQ being a domicile, but I wouldn't anticipate much over guarantee. I don't know of a fax number that would be appropriate for that purpose. They used to do it by fax, but I'm not sure if they still do that, or not. Someone else might know.

Edit: Actually, I think they changed the hotel in Clovis, so I think it's much, much better now. I want to say it's a pretty new La Quinta, but don't quote me on that.
