The domino effect of the BOS base closure will continue into the latter part of next year.

abso-efen-lutely correct... and eventually, they will realize the cost of the hotel rooms for all the kickoff flights in BOS is more than the cost of keeping a crew room, a chief pilot and an inflight office.

According to the messages I got recently, Eagle is saving money by not even having a crew room at one of the New York bases. Maybe that's how they plan to make up the cost of BOS kick-off hotel costs?

True, but then we can expect an email that says something like this....

"due to economic circumstances, the cost savings of opeing a small Boston domicile, will allow the company to better position itself for future growth. A Boston base will allow more profitability, and enhance the marketability of Eagle for possible spin-off or sale. Therefore, a new simultaneous vacancy/displacement bid will be issued by XX date. All crew members are advised to ensure their preferences are properly noted and displayed in their 3*."

But, it won't happen until more of the senior BOS CA's retire/resign. Many have sufficient time in, and are commuting for the first time. A few have already gone, and the company will hold out until more drop.

Yep, huge savings there... no place to rest or do manuals and revisions... fatigue rates are through the roof, as well as AML entries requiring grounding. You all do have copies of the EMB service bulletin on radome paint chips.... correct?

When making that entry, the key word is "delamination."

American bought Reno Air and AirCal and then promptly upset one and all with the integration. Then they drop all flying a few years later.

Now Eagle follows suit with Business Express.

Brilliant!

They still don't have a crew room? Sheesh.

I would think that is a requirement and guys/gals there could stop working until they get the proper tools to do their jobs. Its unbelievable that there is still no crew room.

Its going to cost them in the long run.

Wasn't all of this over 10 years ago? Why are you still complaining about it. Were you even there in those days?
