Still in the hiring pool, I guess.
So you interviewed last year? Did they ever call you before they went on a hiring spree here recently?

Interviewed last year? Yes.

Gotten a callback for FO job? No, but I've considered calling them. And I mean often.

But like Driver said, that boat has sailed. If I wanted to be the most junior FO at a DCI whipsaw regional, I can just stay at Comair and wait a couple months!

Seriously, I just don't think I can do the year one FO pay again; not if I want to keep my family fed... and I can hardly do that on Comair year 5 (which is really year 4) pay.

From another post/board:

I received a call from one of ATP's RJ Program Grads who is in the interview pool with Pinnacle Airlines. He called to give me the gouge:
  • Pinnacle has over 60 people in their "interview pool", but they have confirmed that over 30 of the people in the pool have found employment elsewhere.
  • The first round of interviews will take place the first and second week of January, 2009.
  • There was no official forecast of the number of pilots who will be hired, but we are told that they will have a "large demand for pilots" beginning in January.
  • They will be using those pilots to build up their base in ATL flying the CRJ-900.
  • They will also begin flying for Delta out of MSP in Minneapolis and will be building up that base also.
  • There will be a lot of RJ systems and limitations questions in the interview.

Is there a way to apply online? Or do you have to print out all their forms and send it in via regular mail?

(or are they on airlineapps)

well isn't that swell. A few months ago all you did was trash talk Pinnacle and their pilots, now you want a job there. People on here might want to consider how bad their foot tastes in their mouth before bashing other pilot groups, it is a small community with excellent memories...I really don't think you'll be welcome at Pinnacle. They have recruiters on here with good memories also....once you burn a bridge it is VERY hard to rebuild it.

Just so you don't get your hopes up...
This posting was discussed in length on the Pinnacle pilots webboard. It is from a guy with 200 hours in the pool at Pinnacle. How he thinks he knows hiring and fleet plans at pinnacle is beyond me, no one else there does. It was really picked apart on the Pinnacle website. All it is is a bunch of BS by ATP trying to recruit more gullible low time RJ bridge guys.

The selection process is not RANDOM. It's very structured and meticulous. If you interviewed all the way through to the sim and still didn't get the job... something obviously didn't impress the interview team. It could have been attitude, technical, the exams, the sim, the general questions... you name it. Sorry it didn't work out for everyone... but honestly, XJ turns away more than it hires so the odds were with the "house" all the time.

Relax buddy, you had a horrible contract........that is what I bashed..... Are you defending the $22 hour pay rate second year? I have TONS of friends from college over there, they are not happy with the way they are treated, but they have a job.... ps I am not going to a regional, I have a new job, that I am VERY excited about..... Im just mad my ATP written might expire
