2 airlines + 7 regionals = someone left holding themselves

Hate to say it but your min number of airframes doesn't mean jack. We are below ours at ASA and nothing is being said about it. Daddy D is going to do what he wants to do and we are along for the ride.

Our contract is far different since it was signed with NWA and NOT DL. Even though it was signed under NWA that is now DL there were direct clauses that carried over the ASA (service agreement) to the new DL. Our -900's that are currently flown for delta are under a different contract with many different rules/clauses. Not to say that things can't change (because they can and will) but in discussing these previous contracts there are many apple and orange comparisons because there are many different variables. We have an airframe minimum, whereas I BELIEVE you guys have a percentage of flying min. That's not to say that by DL reducing marketing hours (and hence airframe utilization) the result is not the same as yanking airframes. Facts and figures just need to stand correct.

I am not aware of the details of 9Es contract, however I am aware it was with a different airline and I don't want to see anybody lose airplanes. We do have a contract for a percentage of flying, we also have a contract for number of airframes. The number I have always heard is 150, the last I counted we were in the 140s, maybe someone else can back me up on the exact figures. Apples, oranges, mangos, pears, it doesn't matter. Delta is still going to do what they want to in my opinion.

You PNCL guys just can't get it through your skulls..not that i'm wishing any malice on ya'll..but c'mon..wake up
WHO CARES that your contract was signed by NW. That means DL can't violate it?
DELTA signed ASA's and Comair's contracts...and they're doing whatever they please with em.

It's already a know inside the halls down at Virginia Ave, that they are going after contracts of the DCI carriers, especially since they're going to make all the DCI carriers, minus the wholly owneds, start paying for fuel.

9E is also the 2nd largest overall carrier in the entire DCI makeup (currently/postmerger) with the newest airframes, lowest cost, and best performance (as a whole). Not that I don't think anything will happen, I just think we have the right stats at the start. DL can and will do what they want but we DO have a legally binding ASA with NWA with a direct transfer clause to DL. DL knew about it when this started and legally will have to honor it, not to say that it won't get "renegotiated, altered, or amended" between mgmt and DL. Nobody knows what is going to happen, personally I am keeping the resume updated and ears open for all opportunities. Anyone going into this game of "DCI Survivor" with the idea that they have immunity is going to be beaten by their own arrogance. I think everyone is going to get some licks, and a couple will walk away holding themselves.
