This is an opportunity those hired in from the mid 80's till now have not had. You will upgrade and move on soon enough, until then quit telling me how you have already applied too and are hoping for an interview with the same airline that I have been trying to get on with for 5+ years.

What are you talking about? Are you talking about new applicants?

Let's just say I have flown with 2 now, with less than 500tt, telling me how they will be at a major in two to three years. I just smiled and let the ramble on, and on, and on.
Beer accepted... I got the next round.

We (newhires) would do better to put in a good 5-6 years at XJ and then see if flow-through has had enough movement to become an option. Absent that, I don't see anyone moving on after getting 1000 hrs worth of anything.

Def agree with you on this one, some of the guys I know with low time including myself are at least 1-2 years away from being able to upgrade anyways. Why rush it, sit back and enjoy the flying!
