No, he's not being anti-rumor. There's enough out there to squelch rumor issues. Just because he's not "privy" to seeing all the changes those currently at XJ see is not enough to keep exhausting the tired "rumor" trail. Seriously, go ask those in the new hire thread about the answers they heard while they were interviewed.
Q: So, why is Mesaba interested in hiring so many people to have on payroll?
A: Simply because we enjoy wasting money hand over fist so that the readers on APC.com have something to B#@CH about. We find it funny and they're so easy!!
I don't know how many times it can be said, exact language needed to be used, etc. it will take for some of the ridiculously hard headed to tell the difference.
One person saying, "We're getting 100 airplanes based on nothing!".......rumor.
Airlines don't put into motion everything we have including hiring just to hire to have a massive excess in payroll in "hopes" to have flying added. It doesn't happen.
Comair's issue wasn't even a rumor. It was bad timing for an airline that, ulimately, didn't meet the needs of the owner of the flying.

dude. you need to check yourself. first off your name says everything. second, how long have you been in this industry, and how long have you worked at mesaba? i am glad you are excited about your first airline job, but dude, you better put down the koolaid, cause it will come back and get you. trust me.
Second, twenty plus years in the industry and two advanced non-flying aviation degrees. Write to me when you are even in the ballpark. Sorry bubba, first airline job was in '88.
Third, simply reinforcing fact and pointing out incredible hard headidness. I really don't care if ANYONE believes the incredibly minor fact that Mesaba is getting more airplanes / flying or not but to publically dismiss advance information for no other reason than spite is so damn aggravating and ignorant.
Why is sharing info and dismissing childish banter from spiteful individuals considered cocky? (Rhetorical - No need to post....we already know). I hope EVERY airline gets another 10+ airplanes. My God people.

I guarantee you 99% of the people on this forum could care less if Mesaba does or does not get any more planes. We simply get a rise out of watching you operate the rumor mill... and defend it with no evidence of ANY sort. We'll believe it when we see the facts. No matter how hard you try, your opinion/rumor will not carry water for most of us.
In other words, we'll believe it when we see it. In the meantime, we'll enjoy your constant Mesaba pep rally.

First off, the "name" means nothing to you. I found it unfortunate that I, potentially, will be paid by Delta, not the opposite.

I talked to a "manager" and he told me in a "unofficial offical" type of manner that in fact Mesaba is being built up to increase its value for the ensuing sale to Skywest. Skywest inc. will be the largest juggarnaut in the regional airline game. Their first order of business will be to use the brand new training facility in Eagan to train pilots for CRJ-900 series aircraft to be operated by Skywest pilots for Midwest Express in direct competition with RAH.

I think it's funny that you think we shold just believe your unsubstantiated rumor that Mesaba is getting more 900's. This place is a constant mill for rumors JUST LIKE YOURS! There's a guy in this thread that says he's going to buy you coffee if you're right. Why are you so defensive?

Two training classes a month
EVERY department being told to take vacations soon or risk being too busy.
Company wide mandatory memo to list hours on type and total SPECIFICALLY for mass hiring of FTI's.
Hiring from 250-who knows
EVERY department moving like crazy to prepare / catch up
Pilots not on furlough coming from established carriers.
Oh yeah, it's been made internally public.
etc., etc. etc.

You're also right, you don't see it so how can you even have an opinion on something that you can't see while many, many others do?

I'm done. I hope all airlines see growth and a great contract in the near future. This isn't an XJ thing for me. Simply trying to stop the trivial "I don't believe it" trite. That's so stupid.
