All I can think is you are comparing Pacific Wings FO pay to Regional FO pay, which you can't because the airplane does not require an FO. So why would the company pay an FO 50,000 a year for a single pilot airplane? Pizza delivery guys make 8 bucks an hour, which the only pay you could compare that to is Lakes and Mesa. Trust me it is not a bad place to be right now, There are a lot of pilots looking for any kind of flying with no luck. No Captain at Pacific Wings is lowering the bar for anybody, for that you must look to Mesa, Lakes, etc.
I might be willing to hear lowering the bar statements from those who work at XJT or Eagle, but from a single engine driver who tosses bags and plays reservation agent? I don't think you're in any position to make those statements. Last time I checked my training didn't cover safe lifting techniques. Out of curiosity, since finding posted pay rates is difficult, how much does a 1st year FO and CA make per flight hour?

Furloughed XJT sir and pretty much took no pay cut in the transition. I will fly somewhere around 65 hours this month, and work 16 days (home every night). Per flight hour based on this month 2500/65 = $38.46 per hour you could say, but it will change month to month, its salary so it doesn't matter. So ill say this again, take a peak at a GLakes CA year 1 at $27 an hour and then compare. Also do it for a Mesa airlines second year FO on a jet, who is really lowering the bar?

This was my only point really, I really enjoyed XJT and will probably go back when I can, or if I can I should say. Im pretty thankful im at Pacific Wings, as any furloughed pilot should be that landed a flying job.

Default Keep in mind

And last but not least, keep in mind that this is an airplane that has one engine, the gear doesn't move, and the job does not require an ATP. In Hawaii, it is 95% VFR, daytime flying, and home every night. How much could it possibly pay? The only Caravan jobs that pay more are with Corporate Air and some of the other Fed ex feeders. They pay $2800 plus some COLA depending on where you get based. Casper Wyoming is available right now!

So how's the MCN run going now? You guys are "Tsunami" on the radio right?

Heard one of your guys getting chewed out by ATL approach the other day because they ignored the MCN tower assigned heading of 310 and just joined V323 to HUSKY. Then the pilot argued with approach! He seemed to not understand the difference between "cleared via V323 to HUSKY, Sinca 5" and a tower assigned heading to enter controlled airspace. He seemed convinced that his initial clearance was overriding.

Anyhow, glad we dumped that dump. Have fun in good 'ol Maconga.

Getting back to the original post, can anyone provide some current info on Georgia Skies/ Pacific Wings? Specific to Georgia operations?

Fleet size?
Number of Pilots?
Hiring?
Furloughs?
QOL?

Thanks.
