Default Gulfstream caught using car parts

Good thing they didnt kill someone doing this. Even though some car parts are the same as plane parts, if its not allowed by the FAA it shouldnt be on the damn plan.

Gulfstream always sounded like a POS operation, right along with their 'Academy', where the FO pays more than the passenger

I hate to say it but some car parts are better than aircraft parts with the FAA-PMA stamp on them. I used to work with a guy that used race car parts on his plane because they were better and cheaper than what came from most of the the PMA manufactuers.

I guess they need to start charging more for their PFT.

Glad I have gained a more thorough understanding of PFT & Gulfstream. I glad I decided against attending their academy.

We are all glad you did, if that is the case.

Pass it on to at least one other student pilot at some point and they'll probably thank you later.

Thats funny. I drove by Pep Boys last week and I thought I saw a 1900 tail sticking out of the service bay.
