Default Pinnacle Displacements

Evidently there appears to be some "workings" for displacement of some -200 CA's. Not cool for anyone involved. The F-bomb hasn't been said, but for those in the pool this is just an "update". We do officially do some CVG flying now too- the company set up a TDY (temp duty/base) there for Oct. It looks like those street CA's would be the first flushed down to an FO. When "official" numbers come out I am sure they will appear, but for now the MEC has not released any official news.

Where are you hearing this? They are hiring check airmen from DTW I know, Classes are started back up as well. Its probably just a threat leaked down from the top brass.

well it looks like no one will have to move back to the right seat unless they want to. i am willing to bet most of the guys who get displaced are going to want to go to atl and cvg. i guess if people aren't bidding it this is one way of forcing them to do it.

It is official. It is a bad thing for the guys invloved, myself included. There are numerous ways this could play out. Worst case for the junior CA's is getting bumped back to the right seat in a base they do not want to be at. Then, after the 90 day recall period expires, they will not be able to hold their CA seat again due to now not holding the seniority. I know if that happens to me, I'm outta here. Thanks for the type rating, C-YA. But that is worst case scenerio besides the "F" word

All I know is my standing bid is a CA spot and I highly doubt I will get bumped from MEM. I could dedinately see those who did the quick CA track be sitting with the rest of the FO's and having to upgrade purely on seniority which could be 2+ years seniority.

If we are so fat on CA's that they are displacing, I take that to mean no more upgrades period.

Your standing bid is CA but I don't think they would upgrade you to bump a more junior CA in MEM would they? isn't the point is to move some CA out of MEM, DTW and MSP. Or are you saying that if some guys in MEM moves back to the right seat you won't be bumped out of MEM.

word I heard to is an "F" bomb may becoming... up to 50. They will downgrade most of the new hire street cpts... I had a feeling that bubble would burst.
Its just complete crap... D white the complete idiot that guys is has no idea how to staff an airline. How is it possible right now to be fat on capts and short on FO's when im sure we have a long line of people in the hiring pool. The answer is the company would rather downgrade and furlough then pay the money to train FO's.

Pinnacle is "simply SH$%"
