I see the company continued their commitment to communication by canceling the conference call today. Not that they would have been telling the truth anyways, but I was going to ask them where we are getting the airplanes to cover this extra flying we are doing in Oct, Nov. I was also going to ask them if they enjoyed their meaningless trip to Washington DC last month to decieve us again.

Everyone should expect an MEC message shortly. Until then stop speculating.

Just wait and hear it from the source... I was on a call with SE and the gang and they discussed the various options/issue in depth and a message to the pilot group is being written. Look on the company board and you will see he is working on it... woosaa....

Oh. I saw that. Nothing exciting. Just a clarification of what a "displacement" is/procedures for enacting the displacement. I thought you meant some news of some sort was brewing...which my conspiratorial mind jumped to because of the company postponing their conf. call.

As far as the Freedom 900's are concerned, mx is currently integrating a few of them into thier computer record system as well as giving them conformity checks. This is from the horse's mouth, fwiw.

well the official memo from the company that came out today pretty much says exactly what we thought. on the last vacancy 11 of the 16 guys going to atl were upgrades. the company needs 900 captains now, thus the 24 captain displacements. they pretty much said in the memo we need the captains in atl now and that is why we have made this displacement. i guess this is the companies way of strong arming people to go to atlanta. and yes we are getting the freedom 900's (actually we already have them on property)

The initial staffing model was thinking that the staffing for ATL would be primarily filled from current -200 CA's. Over the last few vacancy moves FO's have been taking spots. This may "make sense" in the numbers game, but in a cost plus world where we are already the "cheap Wh@re" of the industry its a shame. I feel sorry for CA's who have to make some decisions. There will be no FO upgrades to the -200 world for 6 months per our favorite fat @ss in mgmt.... I guess I need to let it set in I will be an FO for a while dealing with CA's who can't figure out the new checklists.... READ THE FRIGGIN CFM!

Yes, I am P!ssed.
