Do you have to pay to non-rev your own airline?

That's what I was getting at. At my airline, (DAL,) my sisters get on first before your parents. At your airline, (ASA,) your parents get on before my sisters. Not to be a jerk about it, but they are two different airlines. What is your parents priority on Freedom, Shuttle America DCI flights? Granted, the wholly-owned are treated differently. That is how the airlines chose to structure the deal. Considering that close to 60% of domestic capacity is on DCI, and the majority of that is by NWOs, I'd say that the DAL employee is getting the short end of the stick.
I am not disagreeing with you about your sister going before my parents on the mainline flights. I am talking about Buddy Passes (unless that is how you get your sister to travel). If you know the Delta travel benefits Buddy Passes are S4 throughout the system. What I am saying is why do my parents on a mainline flight have to be downgraded down to the same class as a Buddy Pass. Let me reiterate this one more time, I am not talking about your dependents or travel companions, I am talking about a Buddy Pass. Is it getting through to you yet? Your sister has every right to go ahead of my parents on a DAL flight, but I don't think your college buddy who is getting a Buddy Pass from you for this flight from ATL to LAX should be getting on before my own parents. I think that is where this system is flawed.

This whole thing is being driven by management, tick them off enough and you will see that benefit taken away. There are some who still have it out for Comair for the strike, and they will never forget. If you still feel that strongly about this though, compalining about it here won't get it changed. You need to contact your carrier's interline person, to try and get them to change Delta's mind.

At NW, buddy passers can only ride when the employee is flying too, thus they are at the same priority. As much as I'd like to give buddy passes to whomever, I actually like this policy... because whenever I fly on Delta, at least 2/3 of the standby list are buddy pass people. Gets really annoying when you are trying to jumpseat anywhere, as they are naturally at a higher priority.
