You are correct.

So the TSA is false security for a threat that does not exist, or very unlikely for that matter. Terrorists are not dumb, they understand that even with assault rifles they will likely get jumped on if even thinking about going to the cockpit in an aircraft. They knew that the mentality back then was that cooperation was the key to success and they capitalized on that thought process, plus the use of fear, nothing else.
This is the exact reply that I give to any friends or family that ask if I'm ever scared of a terrorist when I'm flying. The short answer is, Hell no!!!

The TSA is a frickin facade!! A waste of tax payer money. They are there to hassle normal people so that they can feel all warm and fuzzy thinking that no terrorist can get through. People are stupid. If a terrorist wanted to get through to my plane, they wouldn't be trying to go through the TSA. Why would they when there are easier ways to get through.

The TSA is nothing more than a show for the public. Hassle the grandma and let the suspicious arab man go through, just so they don't get blamed for profiling. Profiling works great. Look at Israel. It's worked great for them for years. Wake up america

You just said what many people are thinking. Profiling is an effective way of using man power. But profiling can't be the only way, we do need those people that are able to read people (forgot what they are called). Terror doesn't only come from Arabs.

But how do you expect them to read when they can't even fit in the building?

Are you talking about the ones trained at the center for kids who can't read good?

No... I'm talking about the Feds that are trained to people watch. See abnormal behavior, stuff like that. I forgot what those agents are called and if TSA itself has REAL Feds that are trained in that. It is effective and a good thing to do along with profiling.

Behavior Detection Officers. They're the ones that caught the guy at Orlando Intl with a pipe bomb a few months ago.

I'm pretty sure that Muslims terrorists are the reason we have the TSA. Uh , 9-11 anyone? Lets see 9 stars and 11 stripes on the TSA patches...hmmmm...yeah your right we shouldn't profile. I have been around the world many many times and no country is as foolish as the US when it comes to security, don't get all PC on me (which is an american invention) unless you've been around.
We all know who the major threat is to western society, ever watch the news, who is blowing each other up everyday? Sorry if I am a little bitter today, its just that it was Ramaddan this month and everyone in the mideast is in a terrible mood because there is no food or water while the sun is up.
