Actually bro, most of the new hires in the last two or three classes were extremely experienced...furloughed Skyway captains, ATA, Skybus, Champion folks...so your statement isn't really valid anymore. Before that, it was a mix of JetUers and 135 people. I highly doubt anyone with less than 1000 TT is in that pool unless they have prior 121 time.

Times have changed since Spring for sure.

That may be the case for a few classes now, but it won't last. There are plenty of folks still waiting on class dates from the "bridge programs". Sure, they're going to take the furloughs first, but Pinnacle will never stop hiring from the bottom of the experience pool so long as they can make a dime off it. Maybe it embarresses some folks to be associated with a company that does this religiously, but it's the truth.

It really amazes me. I had a buddy that applied here over a year ago with 1400 total and 90 multi. Sure, nothing to go bragging about, but for Pinnacle that, at the time, was huge - right? Long story short, he ended up getting an email back from a recruiter saying he would need 1000 total and 200 multi or attend an 'approved CRJ program' at Jet U, ALL ATPs, etc... So here's a guy with a college degree, military experience, extensive job experience, and (heaven forbid) a current flying job. Yet somehow a person from a "bridge program" who may or may not have ever even had a job, any education past high school, and thinks it will be "so cool to fly in clouds" is SOMEHOW more qualified. right. More qualified because Pinnacle receives a large cut of their 'tuition'.

From what I've heard, I think a lot has changed since then in regards to interviews/hiring. ...but for how long I wonder.

You don't know the current hiring and for the last 6 months things have been competitive. I helped an ATA 757 CA get hired here with 7K hours and he said he was about "average" for his class. His interview pool had an average of 3K hours and no bridge folks. This guy found greener pastures (good for him) but the bridge program days are gone for now.

Not true. The Sept. 8 class has 12 people -- 3 with previous 121 experience (1 furloughee), some 135, some corporate guys, and 5 bridge guys.

From the beginning of the pool that was set up at the end of the last wave. Current INTERVIEW poolies are needing 1000/200 even if they have previous 121.

Who do you work for? I know for a fact there are BOATLOADS of bridge guys at Eagle and a good handful are (were?) at Comair this summer...I know a guy who was in an Eagle class in January that said 90% of the people in the class were from bridge programs.

I don't want to get in a ****ing contest with who has more UND/Riddle/Bridge/blah blah blah...I really don't care...well, no, I take that back, I do care. It does bother me when some arrogant jet uers walk around wearing the same uniform as me. Not all of them are like that, but the few that are make me cringe. It does bother me that there are punk kids for whom this is a first job who are walking around like hot stuff while there are f-loughed 121 captains junior to them humbly eating their lunch in the same room and they're the ones who aren't talking any smack. I don't care what someone's background is as long as they don't wear it on their sleeve. My only problem with the jet u kids is that they seem to actually think they are BETTER than some people b/c they went to Jet U. Just writing jetu makes me cringe!!!
