Yea, with my number in the pool I'll probably be in the first new hire class back. Im checking my email everyday praying for good news. Hope that you guys get your call back soon and the classes start this winter or spring.

Lets hope those class dates come around with oil going lower. All the emails I have been getting from PSA makes me think there is not going to be a new hire this year, looks like next spring. But everything can change tomorrow.

There are 467 active pilots on the seniority list with 70+ on furlough. A couple years ago, we had about 450 pilots and more block hours to fly. Reserves are not flying much and very little junior manning. I hate to bring you the bad news, but unless attrition goes up by a factor of ten or more, it is going to be a very long time before we see any recalls, much less new hire classes.
I hope I'm wrong, but thats what it looks like to me.

I hope so too, we are due for some good news around here. I'm not sure about the fo's but thats not the first time I've heard about the fo's being short. I didn't know they were doing JM's. If they are JMing capts, I'm pretty close to the bottom and have never been called. Of course that may be becasue they know in my almost 4 yrs, I've never answered the phone.

Except for a trip to the paint shop... reserve has been a vacation (a crappy one at best). After WEEKS, I finally got called yesterday. The reason: The crash in Columbia stranded plane(s) and crew(s)...
If supply and demand says anything... things aren't looking so hot.
Who is getting junior manned?
