Many of the pilots hired in the surge late last year and early this year will be doing their first recurrent training events soon (myself included). Can anyone share any light on what to expcect/study for etc.?
Thanks in advance,
RJ

you don't technically have to study for a loft since there's no oral and it's not pass/ fail. But you should always be ready for a PC since it could change to that due to Capt needing one, or other scheduling snafus. Good CRM and communication works well in trouble-shooting. I recommend the FO fly while the Capt runs QRH and communicates/ manages. Don't dig a deeper hole for yourself by making the initial problem worse.

I got into a fight with the IP cause he kept contradiciting himself and i called him on it. Then he went as far as to say, ' listen, son, if you want me to treat you like a first year probation guy- I WILL ' ... To which i responded...and how are you treating me now ?

On the note of prepping for a PC I was worried about that for my LOFT last year and asked about whether it would be a PC or not the IP said we dont do that anymore since a PC is a 2 day event and they dont pull surprises on you anymore.
Thats what I was told anyway but most definitely study up so you dont look unprepared.
