Yah it is frustrating to see pinnacle getting the delta flying while we fought for a contract by doing what you need to do. Slowing things down, getting management to hurt enough to sign a contract. As a result of that we got a contract but lost flying.
Pinnacle gets more flying, complains they dont have a contract but at the same time still keeps flying on time and getting titles like most on time airline in the country. Yah, I am sure your management is in a big rush to sign an expensive contract when you keep putting out good numbers and getting more flying.

That's because you guys already are a decent airline. Room for improvement; yes - but still a decent place to work. Pimple on the other hand, and places like them, are the reason your contract wasn't better in the first place. As long as there are places that provide NO quality of life, but will let anybody who want to fly a jet do so, then they will continue to drag the profession down.

Also, we are doing well now in ATL but consider this:
-Overstaffed with almost 50% of the pilots on reserve with an army of ready reserves (for such a small operation)
-Brand new airplanes, yeah a few bugs here and there but brand new
-Boosted maintenance dept. fat on spares and mechanics.
Just a few things to keep in mind, that's all.

You guys are comin up on more than just a couple years to so keep that in mind.
Ask yourself this. What benefit to signing a new contract does your management have??
None. Especially when your airline turns in high performing numbers. They dont care about the pilots at all. If they could run an airline without pilots they would.
If you think ASA was the first airline on this planet to have the pilots slow down you are sadly mistakin. Also remember this. ALPA was promoting the slow down just like they have done at places like Fedex, United and many others. Your group voted 99% to strike but if it came down to it nobody at your airline would walk if you are all so faithful in mediation.
Unless management has a reason to sign they wont. You have to give them a better reason than 94% ontime.

yes I would be more than willing to shut this place down and lose my 75k income out of principle and work at home depot until finding another flying job.

I think the smartest thing you did was pick confused for a handle. After 3 years since being amendable our pilot group stands very unified and we are making good progress on a contract. Everyone knows management will drag thier feet till the last possible minute, so convincing the mediator that we deserve to be released should be priority #1.
