wouldnt suprise me when this contract was signed in 1999 they wanted a 10 year contract. They only got 5 but May of 2009 would be 10 years since the day it was signed. I have heard rumors that they get a huge bonus if they get the contract to 10 years

Its time for 9E's version of operation HAVCO. If you are wondering what havco is, do a little search over on flightinfo.

Good God! How are we supposed to sign a contract if we can't even spell?

It's HAVOC. Some nitwit started a misspelled thread on FI.

hav·oc
a.to create confusion or disorder in: The wind played havoc with the papers on the desk.
b.to destroy; ruin: The bad weather played havoc with our vacation plans.
[Origin: 1400–50; late ME havok < AF (in phrase crier havok to cry havoc, i.e., utter the command havoc! as signal for pillaging), MF havot in same sense < Gmc]

P.S. I like the reference to pillaging!

That is (insert favorite adjective here) ridiculous. How is that even considered still negotiating by the NMB. ALPA national better come in on this and start moving this along. Things could get real ugly real quick if this is true. 8 months, now Im really P!SSED.

I dont know what they called it over at ASA. I seriously thought they called it HAVCO. I know what havoc is. I helped create havoc this morning when my RA would not test. Wrote it up at an outstation, ended up being over an hour late this morning.

One problem that I've seen here at 9E that makes it hard to mount a successful safety campaign is that many, many of our flights are overblocked like heck. I've been on many flights where, flying profile, you end up 25-20 minutes early. So, even if you flew 250 the whole way, you would still be close to on-time. Sometimes Mx issues are the only way to "enhance the safety of a flight."
