Agreed, but the biggest problem is our 24 year old captains that are scared of sending delay reports. "ahh I dont want to get a call at home, hurry up close the door and drop the brake." when the door should have never been closed.
To many p%^*y's at 9E.

I also love the " Im just getting my 1000 PIC and Im out"
Ok.. where are you going to go? and when some of the airlines do start hiring your 1000 PIC isnt gonna be anything against guys with 6000 PIC.

That problem lies with *ALL* of our captains. The same as flying 250KIAS and being asked to speed up? The correct answer is: UNABLE. Request delay vectors. The 9E Answer: Sure what do you need?

Same thing with our management/union relations. They say jump, we ask how high.

Is anybody expecting anything done around here?

like i said earlier. i think this was the last straw even for the "nice" guys. you are right. there are a lot of captains here who are scared of management. the fact is most people aren't used to working for a union. there is a big process that you have to go through here just to get a verbal warning, let alone be fired. they have to have good reasons for it. we have had captains refuse flights, get fired, only to be back in a few months with all there back pay, compensatory pay for damages, and a written letter of apology from management along with the termination being removed from their record. you have to screw up pretty bad to get the axe.. and even then you may get your job back.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen...
Next time you jumpseat on FedEx be sure to ask them how Fato got their contract. They'll tell you all about the secret parking lot handshake he made with the company.

LOL, that's funny you say that because the Captain I rode with today did tell that story!! He told the whole background of it and everything! I won't repeat it on here for fear of slander, but it was funny or sad, depending on your perspective.

So are we gonna go for it? I'm ready. I mean if we are, we need people to sign up and remain anonymous, this forum is perfect. We should start a new thread on this "call for duty".....

Yeah and your methods only took 5 years to reach a contract. Wow, please show us the way to contract heaven! Where do we sign up? You got a contract when JA was ready to give you one. Plain and simple. Maybe blocking out a few minutes late made you feel better, but in the end I doubt it had much to do with anything. It will be no different at Pinnacle. The management will drag this out over good times and bad. They already have.

And yes, you have recommended unethical practices.
