People tend to forget PNCL is now a publicly traded company with shareholders who literally have the power to oust the entire board of directors...Parabai or however you spell his name has enough shares he could unilaterally oust all of management if he wanted to. Someone should get on the investment forums and let them know how serious this last debacle in DC is to the pilot group, and how that last round of negotiations is going to affect our morale and performance, and how serious our pilot group is about striking the second we have a chance (or even before).

Well the company finally cut the last string. I'm NOT helping them out anymore. I'm only doing MY job. No more using my cell phone to speed the process up. I've HAD ENOUGH.
We need 'February' like performance numbers now boys.
Make sure all the FO's are doing a VERY thorough walk around!!!!!
Fly Safe, Taxi Safe!

I say company wide, DONT pick up open time, never answer the phone, use the fatigue call atleast once a month.
If ALPA wont organize a slowdown I say we do on our own. Spread the word, I sure as hell am.

Its safety week at pinnacle every week. Lets see if we can make some DC9 drivers jealous of our slow taxi. If they dont want to reward us for our accomplishments, I say we let their own system eat them alive. Dont help anyone other than the FA and a fellow pilot. Let the gate agents, rampers, dispatchers, and crew schedulers run this place into the ground.

-FLEX........Flex who?
-Single engine Taxi........what is that? never heard about that before
-APU minimal use........I didn't know we could shut that thing down...
-MCT..... yeah MAX CONTINUOUS THRUST.... cruise
-Contingency fuel.............. ohhhh we need plenty of that so start calling dispatch often........don't use cellphones, use the batphone....much slower and you can put the delay report on fuel....
-FOs: anything you find make sure MX comes and takes a look at it. I only accept new tires, make sure they are shiny if not they'll need replacement. Sure they'll refuse to change them, but hey, it was worth the delay for "safety reasons".
-Commissary, LAV service, call last second and don't leave without it. Put the dealy on that.
-Close the door, block out, and don't ever leave without numbers.
-No more 15 min turns, if you are scheduled for a 30 min turn, that's how long it's going to take..........
-Let's have massive request to drop trips, sure, they'll be denied, but our contract says that any request needs to be reviewed one by one and answerd, so at least let's keep them busy........
-VERY IMPORTANT: stop checking in for your trip. Turn your cellphones off and let crew scheduling figure out if you made it or not. Sure bunch of MEMOS are to follow, but we can always blame that on those old crapy computers, can't we? sure we can call them, but make sure you hang up before they answer (the call would be registered in the system)
Again, let's make sure we keep ALPA out of this. This is our own thing, and let's play nasty.
I'm sure there's plenty of ideas, so let's spread the word......
any ideas?

Yes,
Get a pamphlet out. Fill it with instructions, clear ones on what a captain should be doing from now on and what a first officers should be doing from now on. Spread it to 5 captains and 5 first officers and have them go one by one to each flight crew member in this company and sign them on something that looks like a "petition". Once they have signed, give them the pamphlet and make sure they have a nice grin on their face showing that they are part of "the know".
Also, to your list of items add. Writing up EVERYTHING at OUT STATIONS. Indicator light not working? bummer.
As for batphone to get hold of MX? Sure great idea! ONE SINGLE ATTEMPT, then it's AIRINC. You want their frequencies, look up the folder on the FOs side.
Anything else that is needed in the air and is not answered by ACARS after one attempt, use all other available means to contact dispatch. (Bat,AIRINC,Hell.... if they **** us off more maybe even use ATC to call them up... wouldn't it be nice to defame the name).
Get people to sign thats the most important thing. Those who don't sign, be sure to spread thier names by what ever means possible.

everyone thought that the deal was done. even in the letter sent out by the mec last night said that they have been meeting with management for the last 2 weeks without a mediator and thought the deal was done, then get to dc and saw a total turn around by management.

I don't think we were ever as close to a TA in the first place as some thought.

everyone who is coming down on pinnacle for being a good ontime performer is missing the point. we have known for a while now that we would be meeting in dc with a member of the nmb. the last thing we wanted to do right before this is give the company ammo about us having illegal work action, or the pilots are barganing and acting in bad faith. i think that is the real reason why every one wanted to do really good leading up to this round of negotiations.
and yes everyone thought that the deal was done. even in the letter sent out by the mec last night said that they have been meeting with management for the last 2 weeks without a mediator and thought the deal was done, then get to dc and saw a total turn around by management.
one more thing. i think this was the final straw for the rest of the pilots here at pinnacle. lots have people have been wanting to slow things up, but have been hesitant. i think whatever good will towards helping the company out is now gone. they have burned their last bridge. i would think that even the "company" pilots realize that it is time to put an end to this.

Who said anything about an illegal work action? Also, don't you see the similarities between ASA's negotiating and Pinnacle's negotiating? But we did exactly what you guys won't, and while meeting with the mediator. Don't kid yourself, you guys won't do anything of the sorts, they're dangling the 900's in front of you guys like a carrot and you're running faster. Go job on your performance numbers! That'll show 'em!
I love coming on here and reading what Pinnacle's biggest cheerleader has to say; "it's right around the corner, this is the week we get a new contract". Your mgmt group came back this last round, obviously armed with the knowledge that you AREN'T hurting them in the pocket book. Hence, you are where you are.
