everyone who is coming down on pinnacle for being a good ontime performer is missing the point. we have known for a while now that we would be meeting in dc with a member of the nmb. the last thing we wanted to do right before this is give the company ammo about us having illegal work action, or the pilots are barganing and acting in bad faith. i think that is the real reason why every one wanted to do really good leading up to this round of negotiations.

and yes everyone thought that the deal was done. even in the letter sent out by the mec last night said that they have been meeting with management for the last 2 weeks without a mediator and thought the deal was done, then get to dc and saw a total turn around by management.

one more thing. i think this was the final straw for the rest of the pilots here at pinnacle. lots have people have been wanting to slow things up, but have been hesitant. i think whatever good will towards helping the company out is now gone. they have burned their last bridge. i would think that even the "company" pilots realize that it is time to put an end to this.

I wish you were wrong.........but that's pretty much what it looks like right now. I'm going to sound selfish here, but I got to say I'm ready to strike the **** out of this company. Sure, a strike that last more than 7 days is going to run this company to the ground and I'm probably going to loose my job, but hey.....I can find a better paying job tomorrow, even in this crappy economy and be home every night, sure is not a flying job, but at some point things will pick up again and I'm sure I'll be able to go back flying, but meanwhile the question is, do we really want to live like this in PNCL? How would we feel as a pilot group if we were scared of managment and we gave in? Morale is low, and if we let managment win morale is going to be in the deepest part of the MEM sewage system(toghether with Trenary) Again, I don't want pilots to loose their jobs, but the question is: do we want to die fighting, or we rather live as slaves?

Well the company finally cut the last string. I'm NOT helping them out anymore. I'm only doing MY job. No more using my cell phone to speed the process up. I've HAD ENOUGH.

We need 'February' like performance numbers now boys.

Make sure all the FO's are doing a VERY thorough walk around!!!!!

Fly Safe, Taxi Safe!

Custom Silicone Bands

It would only cost $360ish for 1200 customized wristbands...I think we should get ones that say "Fly Safe"

Seriously...I think this is a small expenditure for the union that would definitely help a unified pilot group make sure our flights are as safe as possible...also...remember, the PIC is responsible for making sure the FO has conducted a thorough pre-flight inspection...I think the FOs should tell the captains about every single scratch, dent, taped-up winglets, small gashes in the tires, etc. etc. and make sure the captain comes out to inspect and make sure everything is in order.

Frank Fato is an *********. That SOB needs to be strung up for the joke that he is. How he sleep at night cuddled up to Phil is for the ages....

As a multi generation airline guy I would like to see ALPA grow a pair and get ready to authorize a illegal strike. Otherwise it will be another 5 years of BS and no contracts. If they don't act on the pilots behalf perhaps its time for a change.

One of my captain buddies (not a union rep) just texted me and he's in DCA (in street clothes) and just saw Fato and Seal...it's a mainline flight, and I told him he should ask the capt to sit in the jumpseat even though there are cabin seats avail....then once the door is closed tell the pilots up front he doesn't wanna breathe the same air as those dudes.

This administration has violated the constitution and legal precedent over and over since 2000...and in their infinite "compassionate conservatism and family values" appointed NWA execs to the NMB (one of whom was a legal counsel to Tom Delay, who turned out to be one of the most criminal and unethical men to walk the halls of the US Congress in the history of the Republic)...they can listen in on your phone conversations without warrants, lock you up in Gitmo without trial, and invade sovereign nations with falsified intel...why on God's earth would they let a bunch of pilots in MEM, DTW, and MSP go on strike?

We woulnd't even have an NMB or a RLA if it weren't for the brave actions of unions of the past who literally started armed conflict with the companies who had put them in indentured servitude...I'm so tired of how much of our freedoms have been lost, not necessarily because of laws or Presidents, but because of our own fear of breaking the rules...if our society was the same back in 1776, we would've never revolted against the Brits...we would've been too afraid of going against what the King told us to do...we would've gladly bent over and paid the taxes they wanted us to pay...it's time to rock the boat...it's time to take back a little piece of what this country was founded on--the ability to pursue our own destiny, and the ability to give a big %#*$ %$*% to anyone who gets in our way.

I jumped on FedEx today, and the Capt asked me how things were at Pinnacle... I told him about this latest crap. This might be common knowledge to other 9e folks, but it was news to me that Fato used to be the President of the Union for FedEx. He used to fight for the same things that we are now fighting for. Oh, how the mighty have fallen...
