Question ASA Displacement Awards

Ok, can someone further explain the awards?

These were derived from the losses of the ATR's right?

If thats true how come the awards are effective next month if we still have them?

Will the displace'ees have to submit bids for next month? meaning i move further down?

If you're talking about the final awards just published I believe this is for the fall reduction. A lot of CR7 CA's are coming over as CRJ FO's, which is just OUSTANDING for me. The ATR stuff can't be in yet, as they still have to go through training, which will take a few months.

On that final displacement bid from a week ago, didn't it have the list for the 200 and 700 that included the ATR guys? (effective in march) I thought it did. Caribpilot, are you still on reserve?

Yep still on reserve, long call to be exact. I was getting close to a line, but all this displacement stuff sets me back a bit.

How do you guys on LCR do it? seems like they always call you 1st and you get stuck on a trip that ends with 2 days still to go. You commute back home? It is a 24hr call time so it's almost like Cont. duty.

Thats one of the reasons I don't like it. My biggest complaint was 3 months in a row they converted me to short call for 7 days. I know its in the contract, but I always got stuck with the 0400 start time. I think they do it because they can. It was like clock work.. I was never called during that time. I figured that with the 11 days off and the 7 days they converted me, I was better off bidding a time I liked.. I work less that way.
