[QUOTE=PSA help;2228759]I asked our recruiters about how interviews are going compared to the other WO.

I'm sure all of the wholly owneds are good companies, but PSA seems to exaggerate the truth more than the other two, IMHO. I have too many friends who were burned by PSA promises. I think a lot of people are starting to realize that you really have to do your homework. Kudos to Piedmont, at least, for being picky and not just trying to pad their numbers with everyone who walks through the door.

I think that all regionals are guilty of making wildly deceptive promises.

Right now, PSA is interviewing about 60% of candidates that are technically qualified (on paper at least), and not everyone that interviews gets a job offer. With an interview group of 20, we are offering about 15 pilots a class date. We are probably not as selective as PDT right now, but we are much more selective than many other companies.

AAG has basic standards that all WO pilots must meet.

If you are a lateral transfer, PDT is a great option right now. You can upgrade quickly on the jet. I am curious what the long term plan is for fleet at PDT. Are the 145's just a 1 for 1 trade out with the Dash, or will there be real fleet growth?

The 145's probably aren't even going to be around to long either. There's going to be a big shift in flying for American in PHL and other bases. Rumors are they are going to start changing the routes out of PHL on the 190's. Mexico flying thru DFW and PHX and it wouldn't surprise me as my last recurrent sim training included decompression escape routes.
I see Piedmont getting larger planes in the PHL market especially if they are serious about their future with AAG and it looks right now they are.
Getting on with Piedmont now would give anyone a really good advantage in terms of gaining seniority and fast.

There really isn't any room left in scope for additional larger RJ's.

Planes will be moved around. Remember Republic was resigned for less years and less aircraft. Piedmont won't be flying 145's for too long.

They must be getting them soon because our update for our Hold Over Times App shows the Dash 8 and 145. basically it has every aircraft in American's fleet. So it's just a matter of time now.
