All of the WO are filling classes. I am honestly curious, how many is PDT really looking to hire?
Is PDT set up to train a large number of pilots all at once? Can they handle classes of 25 every 2 weeks? Do you have the sims/instructors/check airmen to handle that?
Having more pilots than you need is a good problem to have. Just curious how many instructors and check airmen you have.

When i got hired, it was pretty much "when do you wanna start?". I explained it needed some time to complete some projects before i would be able to step on property and they were completely fine with it. As the time approached, things got delayed and i needed more time so i called them and deferred for another month, they had absolutely no issue. They really are a nice bunch of people who want to hire everyone who walks in the door

Someone in the crew room said we're filling classes at 30-40/month and that's really pushing the training department's capacity, but you know how crew room rumors go. Let's see what happens but generally speaking I am optimistic about the outlook here.

We are hiring as many as we can get. AA and our CEO have made it abundantly clear that we will get as many aircraft as we can staff. Whether that's 20, or 60, or 80 is yet to be seen.

PSA has 124 instructor pilots and 100 LCA, but is hiring additional sim instructors now for the Charlotte training facility. Rumor is that they want a total of 150 instructors between ground and sims. That seems like a lot, but matches with what has been said about growing all of the wholly owned regionals.
