- Almost entirely 4 day trips with an occasional 3 day. I think it varies a bit more at the other Dash bases.
- Between 2 to 6 legs per day, with 4 legs per day being most common.
- Min days off is 11; for October only 3 lines in ROA had min days off, all the other lines had more, but not more than I think 14 days off.
- The lines are mostly separated into two flavors: AM reports with finishes in the late morning to early/mid afternoon and then lines with PM reports with finishes in the early to late evening.
I like to bid the AM lines so that I have time to do things after getting to the hotel. I hate getting to the hotel late at night. Plus, flying in the morning gets you away from some of the afternoon storms and the operational snowball effects that that causes.

Yes, all the 100s have a Universal 1-E unit. Some have an updated radar unit which interfaces with a moving map function. It is certified for RNAV navigation, departures and arrivals, as well as GPS approaches. It isn't authorized for use though as we haven't received any official "training" on it. Oh, it does coupled VNAV too. You'll learn it in actual practice out on the line, as it won't help you much in the sim. All steam gauges on the 100s.

Would it be possible for a street captain to hold PHL? How are your reserve rules? How many times can they assign you airport/ready etc.

Interesting, on the Q400 we have dual UNS FMS and VNAV, we can do RNP 0.1 and LPV approaches as well as CAT3 with the hud..A lot of our outstations have nothing to VNAV to so we just end up eyeballing it or building our own solution but the vnav feature is nice.

It looks like you could hold PHL Dash CA within a few months. As more of the junior folks slide to the EMB, I would say maybe 3-4 months out of training. You could probably get MDT straight away, which depending on where you are coming from wouldn't be the worst commute ever. Flights from PHL, ORD, CLT on AA, IAD or ORD on UA, and DTW or ATL on DL.
