PDT News and Rumors

Just got my last paycheck today in the mail. *** Why couldn't they just direct deposit it? I dont get mail until around 1:30pm and the banks closed today at 1pm. Now I have to wait until Monday. Thanks Piedmont! On a side note, does anyone know if you can still get unemployment for the week of the 30th? Everyweek I have to report the companies I applied to and it always asks if I made any money.

Honestly, I think just as likely is that in order to save Mesa, Airways sells the PDT fleet and allows mesa to operate those 50 seat CRJs on PDT routes. Airways then wouldn't have to worry about replacing mesa's 90 seaters if mesa does go BK. Really Airways doesn't have any ability to replace that Mesa flying, and 30-something 90 seaters is a whole lot of flying. Surely mesa would be so thrilled to stay alive they would agree to further concessions in order to bring their 50 seaters to PDTs routes, and to boot Airways may actually make some short term cash in selling the DHC8-100s. Another "Liquidity Improvement Program". It may not be flowers and sunshine, but really I think its just as likely a scenario as PDT getting Mesa's dashes.

AP for the last 3 weeks has been unusually boring. I think they are simply not answering any further questions about furloughs/new planes/future plans. There has literally only been 6-8 questions for the last 3 weeks, and no real information that would be news to anyone. As far as the 200 rumor goes, its still floating around the line, but nobody seems to have any evidence other than 'i heard from so & so'.

I know this is maybe a little late, but I'm pretty sure when you file each week, that you only have to declare the money you earned that week, not received. For instance, I just did my claim online yesterday for last week, so I only had to claim money that I earned between 11/22 and 11/28, which if I had worked, I would have received the next week (this week). You earned that money at the end of October, while you were still employed, and are just receiving it now, so I don't think you should claim it at all. Hope that makes sense.
