Going to interesting but looks like they are starting finally to do all the right things. Plus now I've heard they have access to more 145 simulators.
Street captains are a time bomb, especially in this environment.

They are great at first, but before long, you have FO's that want to upgrade but can't because people that are junior to them took all of the CA slots. Then, when things start moving again, the street captains are stuck on eternal reserve.

So, you have street captains looking to go somewhere else because they are sick and tired of reserve life. At the same time, you have junior FO's that are unable to upgrade and are looking to leave. If the market is good for pilots (which it will be), they all start to leave at the same time.

This has happened many times at airlines, and is happening at PSA right now. Street captains are never a good thing. They just temporarily delay the pain and suffering. In the end, you are better off growing naturally.

Plus, from the sounds of it, PDT really isn't going to grow much at all. It is just swapping out Dash's for 145's. Isn't it going to be a 1 for 1 swap? If not, do you have the specific announcement to say that it is not and how many airplanes you will be getting?

Because it's not at the right size yet, the flow hasn't increased to the rate they were predicting. Unfortunately, the "time to flow" estimates were predicated on certain assumptions which it appears are not being met.
Here I always thought I was the negative Nannie! You are right however looks like things are being put in place to attract people to Piedmont. Time will tell.

You know that will never happen. They will run a CA vacancy bid. There won't be enough FO's to take all of the spots, and hire new FO's that will automatically upgrade to CA. That is how it is always done. That is how they get around having to pay the FO's CA pay. It is a great loophole in the contracts that Parker's people write.

Can you show me where they announced that it is a 3:1 replacement, 145's for Dash's? I must have missed that announcement.

(Sigh) Nothing ruins a good day flying more than listening to a miserable Envoy open their mouth. Don't speak of things you'll never understand.

Crazy that any of the 3 WO's would be critical of the other. Who really cares? They are all in the same boat.

But my pilot group is better than your pilot group! Let's fight to the death now.

It makes no sense at all, we all are scum working for a wholly owned.

I can't give you a specific post about 3 per month other than to say we continue one a month 145 from envoy.. jan we start taking 2 145s a month from express jet. That makes 3 a month. That all i got. In slightly over a year i have 200 pilots behind me in a 458 pilot group.. this is really unbelievable..

What's not to understand? It's basic math. Care to show your work?
