There were several people that got FO jet who were here with little time and we have capt jet with less than a year here. We will see how this bid goes wth the seat lock. I feel there will be a tough time pulling some of the people on the dash right now off will be tough.

I have a feeling it won't be till the disaster of regional lift next summer season that changes are going o be made. I just can't see things continuing as they are.

They reimplemented the locks because they know that no unlocked FO will bid it. If those EMB FO slots remain vacant after the bid, they can put new hires in the Jet. Having the option to go to the jet as a new hire potentially helps staffing.

Well that really poops on my parade.. I don't want to upgrade on the dash.. Grrrrr. Howell they are going to be able to fill the captain seats on the 145 with the seat lock that's fo sho

There aren't many of them that have two year seniority.. Otherwise they are going to upgrade in the dash.. Many of those fos have attempted an upgrade already.

Upgrading from F/O dash to EMB CA is not subject to seat lock. Only CA Dash to CA EMB, and F/O Dash to F/O EMB.

This is not true. Read LOA 19 again. An FO is only exempt from the lock if he upgrades "in his current aircraft type." Page LOA 19-2.
