He was competent and had good prior experience but was leaning on me for some "Dash Trash" usual stuff... Green on Green is going to be a struggle... take a guy that has never been to BOS... green on green.. a little de-icing action... do able.. just painful.. Add in a MEL for the ECU... YUCK..

I hope I get slammed with the "bad" stuff during my FO time. Want to see as much as I can so I feel better bidding captain. Yes, a good winter right seat would be very beneficial. ECU is another one id much rather see as an FO the first time.
We also had a guy in our class who was a PDT captain years ago and is coming back. He'll be another one bidding out of SOE.

number two: with all the types at the majors, captains switch without being FOs all the time. So get used to havibg more TYPE experience than your CA.

I remember first upgrading on the Dash and having to fly into LGA/EWR airports for the first time as a newly minted Captain. Sure I had more time then my FO in the dash but guess what? He had way more time them me in those airports and airspace. He basically put me on his back and gave me pointers and explained to me why we got routed certain ways and why we got certain taxi clearances. He was a great FO!!! We worked as a team and I also showed him pointers on the Wx Radar as we plucked our way thru intense storms.
I jumpseated from the Grand Cayman's on a A320. Captain had just came from a DC-9 to the Bus. He was lost still trying to figure out all the tribal knowledge of the Bus. His FO had a few 1,000hrs already on the bus. Again the FO had is time to shine and show his captain things.
Instead of crying about having more time then your Captain in a type of plane why not us it to Shine? Be the great FO not the whiney Bitc%.
Work as a team and have fun! Its not that hard.

Yeah exactly, crew concept. As in, a guy with 1000 hours e145 FO time from expressjet and a green FO thrown together in a dash don't make for a great crew concept, do it Billy?
Thanks for commenting on my confidence as a pilot though..?
