Keep Doing What Your Doing!
We had to park the 145 already for lack of crews! LH is going to quit before he gets a brain tumor from all the stress in dealing with SF. SF wants to keep doing what he is doing, which is running the 145 program into the ground! while LH wants to get Piedmont ready for the 175 and EFB's. That's what happens when an Un-stoppable force=LH hits and Un-movable Object=SF. Good Luck Everyone.

I assume you're talking about the large RJ's to PDT and not the 145's in revenue service....
I will not quote the guys the told me everything I know. But everything in my past posts about how this would play out has been correct and that information comes from them. If you don't like that I really, really don't care...

My guess it will coincide with new hires going directly to the 145 once the second sim is online and they can do larger classes.. There will probably have to be some incentive to stay on the dash for us existing smash drivers.

I'm sure your sources are reliable. What I'm saying is that unless you've gotten info from Kenji, Isom, or Parker himself, saying with absolution that the flying is (to the greatest extent possible) going to be done in house is just an educated guess. These things can change overnight. If there's one thing I've learned in my time at the airlines (other than the best bathroom to poop in each airport) it's that you never know what the hell is going to happen until it actually happens.
Hell, Piedmont is basically free since the dashes probably just about cost pennies on the dollar, pilot compensation is low, except our benefits cost are very high compared to the other 2 wos. The e145... I don't know the cost structure on those planes, but I can't imagine it's a lot.
They really need to get on the ball training people. We just have to many people in the training q.. Very similar to the growing pains psa went through.. Except we are losing so many instructors to the flow. We lose a great this month.

Piedmont will operate large and small format rjs just like the other WOs. The first step was the jet transition and FAA process. Expect as many 145s as we can handle while a 175 program is put together/adapted. AA wants to move away from having too many contract carriers.
