I always got over 100 hours credit while on reserve. If you want to work and make it known, scheduling will abuse u. Also when you are extended on reserve you will do very well with additional pay!

June seems to be the winner in the popular opinion poll. Purely unofficial though.

Currently a cfi, really would like to live in Philly and not commute. I will be at 1500 around september and currently Piedmont is my number one choice. The only thing that really concerns me is that it seems almost everyone wants to get away from 50 seat jets like the 145 and most regionals don't even fly turboprops anymore. I just don't see the long term plan for piedmont and hope it won't turn into a comair situation. Can anyone enlighten me on this

There is still life for 50 seaters. Comait wasnt because they were 50 seaters...it was because they stood up to delta and got destroyed. AA wouldnt be investing the money if it wasnt for a purpose. This is the pre cursor for a bigger plan.

I am an fo. I am usually flying about 80 to 90 hours, sometimes less but there are many times when your extended or extra flying. If they know u want to work.. You'll work.. Our contract allows for many ways to get extra pay.. Just read the contract. I didn't fly today but I just made more than minimum.

I haven't used a crash pad with our commuter policy, but if your at sby you'll need a place to stay. I also have a car available to me. There is so much flying available. We have almost a 1000 hours of open time available through the end of the month for fos...

Yes the 50 seat lift will be needed. I couldn't see taking a 170 into places when we only got 13 pax. That's why I don't see the dash going anywhere either.

I also wouldn't be surprised that a 170/175 plan announced for us once we are going with the 145s.

This^^^. The feds doing our proving runs seem to be knowledgeable on that plan as well.

I was told by a fed the plan was already presented a few months ago.. And not just in casual talk at bwi.. Than again until I hear v1 rotate.. I don't believe anything, but so far everything I've been told has been absolutely true.
