Pier diem is paid at $1.70 for twelve hours a day, but only while your at training, unless I've been screwed, but one check is usually around $1,150 and the other $800 give or take a few bucks. I think it's $28.87 an hour.

There's a 2 month wait for sim? What do you do in that time? I see travel benefits begin after 30 days. Is that 30 days after day 1 of ground school or sim? Also, do the travel benefits kick in alltogether or you have to wait certain time to get international non-rev and zeds? I would love to use that time to go to Europe.

I spent a month bouncing around the Caribbean sailing and diving, back and forth to south Florida a few times visiting friends with boats and checking out every dive bar I could find…Europe would be easy to do!!! I had right at 2 and 1/2 months since I finished ground school. Non rev bennies on AA will be in effect before you leave groundschool. Zeds and jumpseating are not available yet, or at least they were not when I checked, I've heard some are in cass, some not. You can deft get out and play, just takes a dollar and a dream!!!
