I think it will always be greener on the other side, but don't let the fms thing be your reason for leaving what you have. They really are simple to operate. I came to PDT from another airline for a few reasons. Just ask around and form your own opinion. I'd take any opinions on this site with a grain of salt though!!! Good luck!

I think only you can honestly answer that question. Certainly a great backup as you continue to apply for your next gig.

I wish I could see the magic ball and find out how the flow is going to go. It's just like anything where risk must be balanced with reward. How much is the risk worth to you? How much are you able to loose? These are questions only you and your family can answer pertaining to you individual situation!!!

Yes it is a tough call. However if you want to come to American and you're not military or flow it's going to be damn hard. The make up of the classes already shows that for OTS hires.

Things are going to be quick.. They just opened 8 capt and 8 FO emb positions.. It looks like I could bid the jet FO right now.. Wait a few more months to upgrade in the dash or the jet... I think I'm going to stay dash and hold decent seniority in mdt...

I wonder how many captains they are adding on the dash? Crazy how fast everything is going all of a sudden.. I feel kind of spoiled....
