The problem will be getting people through our upgrade and I'm thinking people coming here now with 1,000 hours of 121 time will soon be going straight from getting hired to upgrade. 2016 is going to be a crazy ride!

Do they have to upgrade by seniority? Or can they upgrade as long as someone meets mins with prior experience even if those individuals are junior to someone who hasn't gotten 1k 121 or equivalent time?

Are you insinuating a need for DEC? Isn't the upgrade around 11 months and forecast to stay there for the near future?

With the amount of flows, the fact that guys without 121 experience are struggling after a year to upgrade, the fact we will be doubling in size. It's a fact we will have DEC coming in by the beginning of the summer if not before.

Look around at all the regionals and you see there's a struggle going on to get qualified people.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck. It's a duck. So yes I'm saying we will have DEC's coming to Piedmont.

I heard mumbling of a possible merger with Envoy (who already has a 145 program and flies the jets destined for PDT). Doesn't sound far fetched....silly to spend time getting a 145 program for a turboprop only carrier when you're owned by the same parent. Like I said, just mumblings from an asset in the training dept.

Yes, but not anytime soon. They've already dumbed millions in. I wondered from the beginning why Piedmont would take 145's. Not unless this is just to get a jet certificate and move to something else.

I think what happens with AWAC and Republic will have a big impact on what really happens at Piedmont and a merger with envoy.
