That wouldn't work since you would time out before you got back to base, because you wouldn't get to chickenland until noon and that flight turns at 12:26 then there is a 5 and half hour gap between departures. But if that happens demand the day room at the Micro Hell.

Yup sure enough, he did say that at the end of his comments on the CLT FA crew news 8/27/09. I hope what he meant to say was 'a few hundred piedmont employees' because thats something we already know about.

We know its not going to be good for piedmont employees, we our looking at furloughing a few hundred piedmont pilots? we only have a few hundred Pilots. i guess its time to go.

Exactly! He's not that dumb to get rid of a TP fleet. Its a bad situation with the current planes going. But he had to mean PILOTS. I did not listen to the FA crew news though. But I cannot imagine he meant to say pilots when you only have 450 ish pilots....

meyers go watch the damn clip before you comment on it.we all hope he meant to say employees, but he did say a few hundred pilots. For the folks working here its not much of a stretch to believe airways is planning to phase us out.

You are freaking out over NOTHING. Join the club! We all have had furloughs. Hell PSA still has more guys on the street then you WILL! Its part of the darn game. It SUCKS. But you move on and get a job and make things work. Todays economy stinks! But to sit on here and say PARKER is saying we're furloughing HUNDRENS of pilots at PDT is insane when you KNOW you did not mean it. And watching the clip, there's ZERO chance he meant to say that. And in the many topics he speaks about I am sure he has had a few slips of the tongue. He speaks openly and tries to answers as many questions as possible.

I am sick of hearing, oh PDT is going to fold. PDT isnt going to be around. YOU WILL BE AROUND! You think the pilots at Mesaba thought they would rebound? How many of those guys thought they would upgrade as quick as they did coming out of Chap 11? Its amazing how things turn bad and can turn real GOOD real fast in this indutry. Plus I know you have a LOT of CAPTAINS who are inerviewing with COMPASS! Many whom want out and will get out with their Turbine PIC and move on.

But be pro-active. Dont sit around and let the news bring you down. There's nothing you are going to do to change the management teams mind about the furloughs announced due to plane loss. You can only be pro-active and make a bad situation have some positive spin. If it be you are going to see more family time, going to have a chance to finish college (which many regional pilots out there lack a degree), find a better paying job, find a better aviation job etc.

I've been there! I've been given my pink slip and told we dont need you. Went from holding a line to the street! It stinks. But I tell you what, I didnt sit back and say, "PSA is done, its gone, there wont be a PSA any more." And instead I went about my way, found a better paying job and enjoyed my time with my family and looked for the positive items in my life I can control. Sorry if this is a rant but it just sickens me to constanly hear how bad we think we have it when many of millions are in the same position without jobs..... But if you are willing to work hard there are jobs out there and you will be FINE!

im not asking you to play the world's smallest violin for us. This is the PDT news and rumors thread, mmmmk? So when theres PDT news (or rumors), we like to discuss them here, if thats alright with you.

If you are 'sick' of hearing our thoughts, I propose you stop reading this thread.

There really isn't any reason to draw comparisons with PSA here. I know your PSA Love thread is slow-going, maybe you should go spend more time trolling that thread instead continuing with your agenda of trying to bring PSA into a PDT discussion. Nothing against PSA but this isnt the PSA thread.

You haven't returned 20% of your fleet this year, have you? You don't have a 20 year old fleet of junkers do you? Our prospects are not the same as yours Meyers, please don't draw those comparisons.
