PDT News and Rumors

They're in survival mode over there. Listen to Parker's townhall meeting where one of the PDT employees makes a comment about sending the 190's to them. Was it a joke? Maybe. But it doesn't diminish the fact that barring a merger, the future is grim at PDT with only 20 old 145's and a fleet of rickity dash 8's. I'd be very wary of going to PDT right now as a new hire, although I would say it's ok for the guys currently on property.

What is the benefit to AAG of bringing 175's onto the certificate?
I can't see where it is even close to cost effective. Enlighten me.
Also, addressing the "comprehension, delusional, or isn't really a pilot" bit, let me remind you that the people making these decisions aren't pilots either. Take off your epaulets and think like an accountant, because that what the decision makers do.

If the staffing goals can be met, there will be more than 20 145s transferred. This has been stated by AAG officers and echoed by our new President. He expects that if the staffing is there we will see as many 145s as we can handle as time goes on. Contrary to popular belief, or the mongering of the Eagle *****ing brigade, they will be needed for quite some time. Oh and then there is the 175s...

But since you asked my predictions are:
Envoy will get the firm 175 orders, exercise some options, and take back the Compass aircraft. RAH MAY lease the 175s to Envoy that are sitting due to staffing. They won't divest the whole fleet. Envoy will keep some 145's until they become pumpkins. The Bombardier fleet will go to PSA at some point unless there is a staffing meltdown there.
PDT will get the twenty 145's to trigger the concessions. If taking more means they can continue to get guys through the door with the quick upgrade carrot, you will get more. If guys aren't coming through the door, you merge with envoy and PDTpilotxx gets his 175 seat.
TSA and XJT give back the aircraft transferred to them. AAG says, "hey, your shrinking, we are growing, come on over" in an attempt to poach pilots from airlines that now fly only for their competitors.

We're on a 2 year plan to up our staffing then begin to transition 175's here from RAH. So saying I'm wrong is all you can do until it plays out. Here's an idea... take a look at the changes to the RAH scope and successorsship language changes in their TA. That was no accident.
The changes to the RAH scope and successorship language applies just as easily to moving those planes to Envoy as it does to moving them to Piedmont.

Really?????????? Who the hell cares???????? LOL This is too funny!! Piedmont will get what AAG wants them to have. Why the hell would Envoy people even care what's going on here at Piedmont??
Yes we are getting used up 145's and yes we're flowing and yes our upgrade time just dropped before a year.
