Try not to be too blind on the flow. People here 7+ years are still looking at 3 years to flow. But then again there are people here with 4-5 years with 3 years to flow also. Yes upgrade time is down to 1 year but so are other jet carriers. It will be hard for a little while to even think of new hires upgrading on the jet. The first bid went to captains with 20 to 25 year experience.

That schedule comment is an outright lie. Ya, there will be some months where you'll see 11. Most will be 12-14. Unless you're based in phl where it'll be 14-16

Also, in this day and age you have to work REALLY hard to be at PDT 10 years from now

Envoy contract:
2. Pursuant to the Embraer Agreement, American also has options to purchase up to 90 additional EMB-175 jet aircraft. If American in its discretion exercises any of those options and accepts delivery from Embraer of any of those 90 additional aircraft prior to the Amendable Date, AAG commits to placing those aircraft on the Envoy operating certificate, and to retaining those aircraft on the Envoy operating certificate until the Amendable Date (i.e., AAG could potentially be required to place up to a total of 130 EMB-175 aircraft on the Envoy operating certificate if all options in the Embraer Agreement are exercised). The earliest anticipated delivery date of any of these additional aircraft is currently June 2016.

You just have a complete hard on about taking aircraft from other airlines don't you.

It's baffling.

If you want to fly Republics planes so bad apply to Republic.

They're in survival mode over there. Listen to Parker's townhall meeting where one of the PDT employees makes a comment about sending the 190's to them. Was it a joke? Maybe. But it doesn't diminish the fact that barring a merger, the future is grim at PDT with only 20 old 145's and a fleet of rickity dash 8's. I'd be very wary of going to PDT right now as a new hire, although I would say it's ok for the guys currently on property.

IIRC that room had more than a couple mainline 190 crews. I bet they had a definite opinion of that "joke".

But why would anyone care??? If they stay small it benefits everyone in terms of Flow time. If they get shut down then everyone flows. Win Win

But that would mean he'd be flying a 76 Jet for less then what he makes flying a 37 seat Prop.

Billy, lurker and sublime are just mad that what we've said appears more and more likely to happen here. And yes I am happy to bring the Republic planes back in house! Anyone that thinks PDT is merging or going away has poor listening comprehension, delusional or isn't really a pilot.

And yes, the 190 thing was a joke by one of our instructors. So sublime, lurker... continue crying into your ramen. We don't care about your opinions.

We're on a 2 year plan to up our staffing then begin to transition 175's here from RAH. So saying I'm wrong is all you can do until it plays out. Here's an idea... take a look at the changes to the RAH scope and successorsship language changes in their TA. That was no accident.

What is the benefit to AAG of bringing 175's onto the certificate?

I can't see where it is even close to cost effective. Enlighten me.

Also, addressing the "comprehension, delusional, or isn't really a pilot" bit, let me remind you that the people making these decisions aren't pilots either. Take off your epaulets and think like an accountant, because that what the decision makers do.
