Yes....airplanes originally designed for 25000 cycles which have been extended repeatedly.....last I heard the ones they're sending to PDT aren't the oldest but are far from newest....most around 30000 cycles.
I guess in the land of the obsolete fleet the nearly obsolete fleet is better, but the excitement level does seem odd (if someone offered me a 1998 Dodge Omni with 400000 miles on it I doubt I'd be as excited)

But this proves you're an idiot.
"Since I've been here"... Apparently there is no history before your existence.
Again, if it is a game, the PLAYERS influence said game. It is your job to influence it.
As far as ALPA dues, I happily do not pay any.

Go back and look at my posts and tell me where I've been way off base. Sometimes people don't want to hear it when its directed at them. I just try to get all the info and come to a conclusion from it.
Someone asked about crew bases for the ERJ's at PDT and I said there's probably going to be more then one and that response somehow triggered the ENVOY nerds to get mad!! Then you have another 'nerd' bring AWAC into the mix.
You fools started it and I just rolled with the punches. You don't like it then don't respond. You don't like it, put me on your ignore list. Simple as that.
Nobody knows what's going to happen. All I stated was that Parkers wants 3 Wholly Owned Regionals roughly the same size. Why does that **** anyone at ENVOY off??? Because they are shrinking????? Like I said Piedmont lost over 50% of it's fleet so crying about that honestly doesn't mean crap to me. It's the nature of the beast. It's the game!! Just like Delta shuffling there RJ flying. It's a game and we are all puppets.
As for AWAC I honestly have no issue at all. They are a quality airline that mirrors what Piedmont was. They are caught in a rock and hard place and they deep down know it. Being one of the better paying regionals they also have to compete for flying with others. Where is the fine line between demanding more money and being cost competitive against Mesa, GoJets, Piedmont, and others. They have no growth and upgrade is at 4 years. All this is where Piedmont was 3 years ago.
I hope they get a contract that gets them what they want and growth to get there upgrade down, but until that happens they won't be a place people go to.
Like I said just put me on your ignore list. I won't lose any sleep.
Good Day.

Yep I'm an idiot! What's amazing is when reality is smacking you upside the head you want to ignore it.

According to the Piedmont profile it shows 450 pilots, making 1000 total maybe for the future.
#7079
Yes that would make sense also, but remember we only have like 35 planes now. So realistically a fleet of 60-70 planes would be reasonable and could happen. But I think it's true that Piedmont will be the smaller of the 3. I see operating two totally different planes being a massive headache and see the Dash's leaving faster then they want.

PDT pilots are being way too optimistic if they think they will eventually be the same size as envoy. I've spoken with many different people from inside envoy over the past few months (from recruitment, to union leaders, to chief pilots) and all have essentially written PDT getting old 145's as a non-event. Don't count on any more then the 20. It's a good time for those there, but that's about it.
