So you are implying you will be taking them from Compass or RAH. So AAGs plan is to start up a second full scale Embraer operator when they already have one going. Got it.

That's a brilliant and very cost effective plan.
Already doing it. Not only that, when was the last time AAG did something smart and cost effective?

Who cares what we fly? There will be planes. They will come from a factory. Or another airline. The regional model will not cease to exist. Just like always.

AA may not care about the money to certify 175s for pdt. They may have grander ambitions. We as pilots DONT know. Unless youre management at AA you dont. You dont know anything about the costs to put an aircraft on a certificate at AA because you arent doing it. If you were you certainly wouldnt be on APC arguing about this dumb stuff.

AA will have its wholly owneds. They will fly airplanes. One thing is for certain...if they wanted piedmont to be gone it would have happened already man. We dont know the future man.

Well, they got PSA to take concessions in order to get aircraft they were slated to get anyway, they got envoy to take concessions in order to get aircraft they were slated to get anyway, and they got you to take concessions with a twenty aircraft trigger. How many aircraft are you getting from envoy?

I would think getting the -145s from TSA and xjt is always a possibility.

What does this have to do with 2 EMB certs that 2 min ago you were arguing they wouldn't do despite the fact they currently are?

Cost effective? Well if they wanted that they would have 1 wholly owned airline, not 3. Soooo where are you going with this?

Two is cost effective enough, one EMB, one CRJ.

You're absolutely right. But that's not what's happening. I agree about the xjet planes coming back in house but not the tsa planes... they are on a 4 year cpa where xjet is on a 2yr.

Actually, the 145s operated by TSA can come back to Envoy after their C checks, which are done every 24 months I think.

Hmm I thought they are scaled on a 3-4 year cpa that can be extended to the 4 by either party...
