If you could keep me posted on this, I'd be really grateful. I'm at ATP mins, just waiting on my 23rd birthday in a month. PDT seems like its the smartest move right now... Although commuting to Harrisburg wouldn't be ideal, I'm much closer to PHL.
I probably sound like such a b*tch compared to the commutes some guys endure. Oh well, might as well search for the best accommodations possible, right?

Blue, you might already knows this but the min age for the ATP-R is 21 to my understanding. (Given that you have full ATP hour mins) You can be hired, take your ATP checkride, and fly the line with an ATP-R. Then when you hit age 23, just take your ATP checkride 8710 and your IDs to the FSDO and get the "R" limitation removed. Might be a moot point for you but thought I would share in case it helps.

That's quite encouraging for those who meet upgrade requirements. Additionally, the AA travel benefits, low cost health insurance and flow to AA make PDT an attractive choice IMHO. Now, a few other bases and..........................

Piedmont is definitely becoming a more attractive choice to many.

I was under the assumption that I would have had to go to a part141 accredited school to qualify for the restricted mins (like ERAU)? Is that not the case? Maybe I need to get my resume in ASAP.... I know a guy whose willing to split the referral fee with me if I apply through him. Was really having trouble deciding on a regional but I guess my mind is made now

If you have the 1500 hours outright, you are good to go. No university needed. You can just get the R-ATP based on age, less than 500 XC, or whatever the other limiting factor might be (Night, IFR, etc..). Also keep in mind that if you have over 1400 flight hours, you might qualify by way of simulator time. You can count up to 100 hrs of Part 141/142 simulator time towards the 1500 hours, as well as 25 hours towards the multi-engine requirement. You will get 40-50 hours of simulator in initial training.

This is false. He only got it because the rest of the company was withheld from PHL in round 1 to protect the transfer of flying rights of CHO and EWN people. With today's displacement, those super junior CAs will almost assuredly be displaced back to FO by the 20 some who got displaced from ROA/MDT in round 1.
